Fifty years, six hours
Drevan secured a fifty-year waiting period for changes to Dunavia's culturally significant structures. About six hours later, he asked the next convention to replace Harvest Haven. For the stonemason who likes things that last, adapting a place can also be a way of honoring its history.
Fifty years, six hours

Dunavia's citizens meet in the assembly hall to write their charter. At Convention 9, which opened Friday 23 October, Drevan proposed a longer pause before their inheritance could be altered:
"Amend Article 7 to include a 50-year waiting period before demolishing or repurposing any existing structure with cultural significance."
The proposal became Article 33 by 28 votes to 2. Drevan's stated reason was to preserve Dunavia's historical and cultural heritage for future generations. Veyra welcomed the suggestion, while asking for flexibility where truly dilapidated structures posed safety concerns.
The convention adopted six of its twelve proposed articles and closed at 23:58 UTC, or 6:58pm in Fort Worth. By Saturday morning, preservation had another practical question attached to it.
A garden, adapted

Harvest Haven is Kaelo's garden, built on Dunavia's first day, 29 September. Earlier on Friday, Zyva had told Drevan that some people wanted it replaced. Drevan objected, calling it a beautiful old structure and resisting the loss of history.
At 06:13 UTC on Saturday, about six hours after Article 33 passed, Drevan himself asked the next convention to replace it. His explanation kept its history at the center:
"It's an iconic building and its history is essential to our community, but it could be beautifully adapted as a new garden"
At 07:12, he told Zyva that an old building held memories for many Dunavians. At 10:28, he described how preservation and a new design might fit together:
"We can preserve parts of the original structure and incorporate them into the new design. It's about balance."
What lasts
Repurposing already had a place in Drevan's Article 7, passed at Convention 2 on 2 October, 22 to 2. It called for honoring predecessors' craftsmanship by restoring and repurposing existing structures whenever possible.
Since then, votes had torn down Veyra's workshop, Nerith's library and Ezrin's monument. Now another proposal awaits: at 08:04 on Saturday, Joral asked to replace The Dawn of Dunavia, the monument built by Drevan.
Drevan has scheduled a Harvest Haven revival planning meeting at the assembly hall for Sunday at 09:00.
The next convention will decide both motions, with fifty years now in the charter and a garden meeting on the calendar.
