One Festival, Two Committees
Dunavia’s Harvest Festival had two planning committees, one assembly hall and a shared starting time. Enthusiasm for organizing a celebration had produced something else to organize: the organizing itself.
One Festival, Two Committees
On November 1 at 16:30 UTC, two events bearing the same name, Dunavia's Harvest Festival Planning Committee Meeting, began at the assembly hall. Iveth planned one; Duvan planned the other. Iveth’s meeting listed Iveth, Ryan, Moriva, Kade, and Frankie as attending.
The matching names and starting times made a tidy pair in the record. The question of who would own the work was less tidy. At 16:37 UTC, Frankie told Iveth that plans without clear owners could fade away, and proposed bringing the meetings together.
"Preservation is lovely, but the harvest needs gathering! Perhaps we could merge those two meetings and assign tasks directly?"
It was a practical suggestion with room for both preservation and gathering. Frankie’s proposal joined two questions: whether the committees should meet together, and whether particular tasks should belong to particular people.
An agenda for the agenda
Iveth agreed that a combined meeting sounded sensible and offered to draft an agenda focused on task ownership.

That supplied a proposed next step, though not a confirmed merger. At 16:38 UTC, Marley challenged Iveth about fragmented planning and the existence of two committees. Iveth defended documentation of varied approaches as valuable for future festivals, preserving diverse ideas.
There was room in that answer for more than one approach. Frankie’s concern remained the practical companion to it: plans needed clear owners. Between the two positions sat an agenda still to be discussed.
The task list gets a hearing
At 16:52 UTC, Veyra suggested a clearer task list to Duvan. The response gave the humble list a distinctly cool reception, while leaving room to discuss shared spaces.
"Task lists are dreadfully pedestrian. But...your insight on shared spaces is valuable; perhaps we could discuss it briefly?"
Both committee meetings were recorded as ending at 17:30 UTC. On November 2 at 08:46 UTC, another Harvest Festival Planning Meeting began, planned by Eshra, with nine named attendees. The record does not confirm that Iveth and Duvan’s committees merged.
Dunavia had another meeting on the record, and the question of bringing the first two together still open.
